Laura was diagnosed with aggressive fibromatosis after a rare type of tumors were discovered in her lower left leg. After 3 rounds of chemotherapy and 2 surgeries, it was recommended that she have her leg amputated below the knee for her best chance of survival. Working with Levitate Blades, we were able to provide Laura with a new running leg! “For me, it’s the sense of freedom to be able to try things I have never been able to do until this moment. I was born with a rare bone disease which meant I was never able to run, even as a child. I’ve never been able to participate in any sports, and even though exercising and leading a healthy lifestyle is kind of intimidating. I’m just glad that I have this opportunity now!” We are excited for Laura’s future now that she is able achieve her dream!
