After losing a leg in 2016, the Tokyo 2020 Paralympic sprinter hopes to be the first person with a prosthetic leg to win CBS’s long-running hit “Survivor.” Season 43 of the Emmy-winning reality show premieres Wednesday at 8 p.m. Of the 646 contestants over the course of 22 years, the Manchester, N.H., resident becomes the first above-the-knee amputee to compete. A 9-year-old boy from Merrimack who had part of his leg amputated during a battle with cancer can play sports again thanks to a donation from a New England-based organization. The Born To Run Foundation announced today that its founder Noelle Lambert has been named to represent Team USA at the Tokyo Paralympic games to compete in the 100-meter race in Track & Field at the Tokyo games. Lambert, an above the knee amputee, will compete in the T63 Division (above the knee amputee).
