2026 Boston Marathon® Charity Program Application

Amanda Woodley
Amanda hails from New York City and this will be her first Boston Marathon. She has run six previous marathons: Chicago, NYC, Berlin, London, and Tokyo. The Born to Run Foundation spoke to her because while growing up, she was very close with neighbors who had a cousin with a prosthetic leg. She remembers the journey this individual faced with needing a properly fitted prosthesis during her childhood and the extensive costs her family encountered. Amanda is excited to run and raise money for a charity tha t is able to help young amputees. We are thrilled to have Amanda on our team and be able to complete her final World Marathon Majors!

Matt Leighton
Matt is our next runner from Merrimack, NH. This will be his first marathon. Matt’s cousin, Ryan Feeney, is a three-time recipient of our organization. Matt said he wanted to run this marathon to give back to the organization that has done so much for his family and so many others. Seeing what his cousin has gone through and being able to live such an incredible life has been an inspiration to him. We welcome Matt to Team B2R and look forward to watching him achieve his life dream!

Hannah Nabors
Hannah joins us from Rome, GA and this will be her first Boston Marathon. Hannah’s journey to the starting line of this race is driven by two things: an enduring love for running and a deep need to redefine her limits. In February 2025, she was driving her son to school when they were hit by an impaired driver resulting in the amputation of her left leg below the knee. Last summer, she received a running blade which was supported by our organization. After her accident, Hannah said that running the Boston Marathon as an amputee is the ultimate challenge. It is a way to prove she is still capable of pushing past any perceived boundaries and to celebrate the spirit and adamant refusal to quit. We are so excited to have on of our recipients join our team! We know Hannah is going to crush it!
