Meet our latest recipient, Derik Smith.  He lost his right leg in 2012 to cancer.  After breaking his leg, he had 9 surgeries before they discovered it was bone cancer.  After his amputation, he played both baseball and football, but his dream was to become a Paralympian and represent the United State.  Derik is currently training for the upcoming Paralympic Games in LA, and we have gifted him a specialized prosthetic leg specifically for discus.  Welcome to the team, Derik, and we are so excited to be part of your journey!
