Jas Carelus

Meet Jas, a native of Haiti who lost her leg in the infamous 7.0 magnitude earthquake in Haiti back in 2010. The quake claimed the lives of 230,00 individuals and was one of the most deadly natural disasters in history. She was attending school when it occurred, causing the 3-story building to collapse, trapping her beneath the rubble. Her father came to the rescue, personally digging for hours before freeing her. Unfortunately, her leg was unable to be saved. Since losing her leg, she has fallen numerous times in the shower and has made many trips to the ER. We were able to gift Jas with a new water leg, enabling her to now shower without the fear of falling!
