Lana Bargnesi was a freshman in high school when she was diagnosed with Osteosarcoma. The doctor tried to do limb surgery, but it failed. As a result, they had to amputate her right leg above the knee. She is now a freshman in college and wanted a swim leg so she can shower with ease as well as go to the beach with her friends. We worked with Hanger Prosthetics and Orthotics to make this donation to Lana. “This donation by The Born to Run Foundation means the world to me. With this new leg I can wear in the water, I get to gain back normalcy in my life. I am so thankful for the kindness and generosity of Noelle. She has truly made this the best experience and I can never thank her enough. I can’t wait to go to the beach this summer with my new leg!”
