Merrimack boy receives prosthetic leg donation after amputation, battle with cancer

A 9-year-old boy from Merrimack who had part of his leg amputated during a battle with cancer can play sports again thanks to a donation from a New England-based organization.

Last year, Aiden Collyar was diagnosed with rhabdomyosarcoma, an aggressive soft tissue cancer.

His battle resulted in the amputation of his lower right leg.

Aiden’s mom Samantha Collyar said the 9-year-old used general prosthetics.
