In January 2020, David Hiler lost his left leg above the knee due to a malignant sarcoma isolated to his knee. He made the decision to amputate, which he says was the best solution for him if he wanted to continue to live an active and athletic life. We donated a running prosthesis to David who is an avid runner and snowboarder. He hopes to compete in another marathon sometime soon and recently snowboarded again for the first time since his amputation! David is giving back to The Born To Run Foundation and amputee community by creating a craft beer at his brewery in Brattleboro, VT, with proceeds going to support the foundation. We look forward to see David in his athletic adventures!
